Tan Huynh podcast

The person that I was before I started listening to podcasts pales in comparison to the person I am today. I have laughed, cried, changed my mind, picked up new habits, adopted new behaviors, started businesses, learned to forgive, and stopped to catch my breath – all while listening to podcasts.

I want you to have the same life-altering experience! This podcast will give you greater access to the content of my blog in a convenient, travel-friendly way.

I will produce a podcast episode for as many of my previously written articles as possible, sharing my thoughts and experiences on the topic and, for most podcasts, inviting a guest to speak. Take us with you as you commute to work and do errands.  Turn your car into a university on wheels and your kitchen into a conference ballroom.

esl podcast language learners ELLs instruction

Thank you for this great work!!

This is an excellent resource for keeping our finger on the pulse of the MLL teaching world! The insights offered by Tan and his guests are especially valuable and comforting in our specialty— where we can often feel isolated in our individual buildings. Being able to push play and hear others with shared passions discussing issues that are so dear to our hearts can be not only informative but also a bucket-filler for my teacher heart. Keep up the awesome work, Tan!

      JUST WOW

I cannot believe this exists! How amazing to get to hear info from all these experts, and the host asks all the right questions. Love it!

      Thoughtful, patient and real

Tan and his many qualified guest provide for an experience that is not only nuanced, but human as well. As educator and now as an educational administrator I was able to connect to the many experience he and his guest shared.

If you are an ML (EL) teacher, you will have everything gain from this podcast. Conversations are enlightening, and provide for a detailed look into the state of teacher our language teaching practices today!

      Very Thoughtful

I have been recently listening to the podcast, and catching up on all that I have missed! This is a wonderful resource. The interviewer and guests are very reflective of their own practices. They give great advice and encourage learning among educators. A very thoughtful podcast about the field of Multilingual education.

Everything you wish you were taught about LLs

Imagine a place where all your favorite people on Twitter met up and talked about a subject that was very important to you. This is it! These are the conversations I wish my colleagues and I would be exposed to when we have PD on how to reach our LL students. I’ve been a follower of Tan’s from Twitter and when he started this podcast, I knew this would be next level. His guest speakers share an insane amount of valuable, practical, helpful, impactful and insightful information. Tan’s questions, as well as his own stories, always hit the bullseye. I take in the information that is shared and immediately start reflecting on my instruction. I am always inspired to do better! SO so grafeful for you Tan! Thank you for creating such an amazing place to learn.

      Passion, Energy, & Pride

Tan is passionate about teaching and delving into the human experience. He is well-connected and amiable, and so he has thus far invited guests who are influential and recognizable in the field. His energy and compassion is contagious. As an educator, he is also continually learning as evidenced by his use of language learners (LLs) in the title of his podcast rather than the English-centering “ELL” label. If you’re looking for somewhere to start, I can’t recommend Episode 15 enough, featuring Dr. Josè Medina: the episode is fierce! I look forward to learning more with Tan and his guests, and I encourage you to tune in as well!
